Heavy Vehicle Certifier
We are market leaders in specialised engineering areas of expertise providing civil structural design, steel detailing, mechanical design, consulting, certification, compliance, calibration and non destructive testing.
We are looking for a full time permanent Mechanical Engineer to fill a key lead role within DE Consulting Engineers & Inspection as a:
• LTNZ Heavy vehicle certifier ie chassis HVEC, load anchorages HVEA & towing connections HVET - this is a lead role and supported by 3 other trainee Heavy Vehicle Engineers.
The mechanical engineer applicant shall have:
• a tertiary qualification (NZCE/diploma, BE or equivalent).
• 2 years plus experience in Heavy Vehicle certification. Other relevant experience would assist.
• a reliable positive and practical approach as well as being a cheerful outgoing team player.
We offer you an attractive remuneration with annual performance reviews and qualification increment adjustments with further training.

Future transfer relocation to our Hamilton, Nelson or Dunedin branches may be possible if required at a later date.

We are looking for an additional full time permanent structural engineer to join our team of 30+ within 5 NZ branches and offer:
• Continued p
rofessional training to become a chartered engineer.
• Work alongside other Engineers including mechanical and inspectors.

Mechanical Engineer
We are looking for an additional full time permanent mechanical engineer to join our Timaru branch to carry out design and certification work in multi disciplines including:
• Crane design such as gantry, mobile etc.
• Pressure Equipment Design such as pressure vessel and pressure piping
• Mechanical Equipment such as amusement devices, lifting equipment, OPS, forestry machinery etc.
• Mechanical Plant such as fall arrest, conveyors, mancage and platform, structural supports etc.
• Safety Equipment and HSNO
The engineer shall have:
• a tertiary qualification (NZCE/diploma, BE or equivalent).
• 3 years plus experience in some or all of the above disciplines is preferred, however full in house training is possible
• a reliable positive and practical approach as well as being a cheerful outgoing team player with natural marketing ability
• Well versed with computer programmes such as Mathcad, Spacegass, AutoCAD, Inventor or abaqus.
