In 1991 Design Engineering was established to provide structural steel inspections and welding qualification testing. Over the next few years the business expanded to include civil and mechanical engineering, consulting, non destructive testing as well as equipment inspections. Now we’re proud to announce that we’ve completed a restructure of the company.
In early 2021 we formed DE Group with three entities; DE Consulting Engineers & Inspection, DE Calibration & Compliance and Survey NZ.
Restructuring allows us to provide a wider range of services and still maintain the high level of quality in our work that we have been known for.

Hayden Bryant -  Operations Manager of DE Calibration & Compliance

Due the restructure, a new management position was created under the DE Calibration & Compliance name. We are proud to have Hayden, who previously worked as an Electrical Calibration Inspector in Design Engineering, as the Operations Manager handling our calibration and compliance work.

Marnus de la Guerre -  Operations & Technical Manager of Survey NZ

We are pleased to have Marnus as the Operations / Technical Manager of Survey NZ supported by Raelene Bleeker (Director) and the Board Chair Elliot Royce.

Kim Burtenshaw continues in her role as Accounts and Finance Manager under DE Group, managing the administration and finances.

Kaye Johnston- May continues in her role as Quality Control Manager under DE Group, with the additional role of Health and Safety Representative for DE Group.

Going forward into 2024

Well after a fantastic Xmas and New Year holiday break we hit the ground running in 2024 with staff commencing work on the 8th January straight into work. Possibly the best start to a new year in 33 years, we are optimistic this will continue with an additional 4 new staff commencing work this year.
